Travel Nurse RN - Emergency Room (ER) / Trauma - $2,278 per week in Auburn, NY

Job Title: ER Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1.5 years of experience, with 2 years of recent ER experience required License: Active state nursing license required (NY or compact) Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS Must-Have: No disciplinary issues on nursing license Description: ER Registered Nurse (RN) position available. This is a 13-week assignment with no blocked scheduling. The schedule requires 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each. There are 36 guaranteed hours per week. Every other weekend is required. Candidates must interpret and manage heart rhythm changes. Experience in caring for critically ill patients with multi-organ issues is essential. Ability to administer blood products and manage central lines is required. Starting and maintaining IVs is a crucial skill. Experience with administering IV sedation and vasopressors is necessary. Candidates should care for stroke patients effectively. Experience in caring for ventilated patients is required. Ability to manage BiPAP and CPAP is necessary. Candidates must interpret arterial blood gases. Following isolation precautions is vital. Experience with triage is necessary. All requested time off must be submitted with the application. No time off will be approved after the offer. Interview will be conducted via phone or virtually. Travelers will be responsible for coordinating with peers to ensure shift coverage. Candidates must achieve at least an 80% score on a telemetry assessment upon orientation. Those who do not pass will receive remediation training. Nurses are responsible for measuring telemetry strips and interpreting cardiac rhythms independently. The facility does not employ telemetry technicians.
