Travel Nurse RN - Emergency Room (ER) / Trauma - $2,278 per week in Auburn, NY

Job Title: ER Registered Nurse (RN) Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1.5 years of experience. Two years of recent experience in the Emergency Room required. License: Active state nursing license required. If no state license, must have already applied and provide application date. Certifications: ACLS BLS NIHSS PALS Must-Have: No disciplinary issues on nursing license. Interview may be conducted via phone or virtually. Description: The position requires an ER Registered Nurse to provide critical care. Candidates must interpret and manage heart rhythm changes. Care for critically ill patients with multi-organ issues is essential. The nurse will administer blood products and manage central lines. Starting and maintaining IVs is a required skill. Administering IV sedation and vasopressors will also be necessary. Care for stroke patients and ventilated patients is essential. Managing BiPAP and CPAP will be part of the responsibilities. The nurse must interpret arterial blood gases. Following isolation precautions is mandatory. Triage duties will be expected. All requested time off must be submitted with the application. No time off will be approved after the offer. The traveler must arrange coverage for any additional shifts if needed. Telemetry proficiency is critical, requiring a minimum score on an assessment. Nurses should independently measure telemetry strips and accurately interpret rhythms. Assistance with Cardiac Monitoring educational material will be provided if necessary.
