Travel Nurse RN - Emergency Room (ER) / Trauma - $2,300 per week in Baltimore, MD

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) Experience: 2 years required License: Active RN License Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, NIHSS required Must-Have: Floating may be required within the specialty and to other units within scope in an extender role. First-time travelers accepted. Description: Specialty: ER RN Shift: 3x12 NIGHTS from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM Every other weekend is required. Holidays are required as they fall in schedule. Patient ratio is 1:4. Previous charge experience is preferred. Experience with charting system is required. Charting system is EPIC. Experience in community hospital is preferred. Experience in Trauma Level I and II is preferred. Skills include managing abdominal pain, acute psychosis, and arterial line management. Ability to administer blood products, care for ventilated patients, and manage central lines. Competence in chest tube insertion and management of IV sedation is essential. Experience with stroke and trauma patients is required. Knowledge of mental health conditions and managing violent behavior is necessary. Ability to perform triage and interpret dysrhythmias is important. Compliance with organizational policies and procedures is mandatory. Candidates must be comfortable floating with no restrictions. Return travelers must be away for 6 months before returning. Most locations allow one contract and one extension before needing a break. All certifications must be up to date before employment. Compliance documents must be submitted before the deadline.
