Job Description – RN (Registered Nurse), ER (Emergency Room)
Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts (7p–7:30a)
Start Date: 10/19/2026 | Duration: 13 weeks

Care Setting: Acute | Division: Nursing
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
Trauma Level: No designated trauma level; STEMI-receiving; Comprehensive Stroke Center
Charting System: EPIC
Unit Notes:
- 17 beds/trauma bays (flex to 22 with hallway beds if staffing allows)
- Fast-track through triage lobby; separate triage area — travelers may triage if experienced
- ER holds intermixed within the ER (no separate holding area); ED nurse is primary
- 4 designated psych/seclusion rooms
- Security in-house 24/7
- ~66 patients treated per day; ratio 1:4
- Common diagnoses: Stroke, STEMI, sepsis, chest pain, psychosis, heavy behavioral health population; rare pediatric cases (treat and transfer)
- Common drips: Insulin, cardiac drips, sedation, critical drips
- ED Physicians and Mid-Levels both present
