Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts — typical day example 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and typical night example 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM; position includes 12-hour night options (12 hr nights), self-scheduling with rotating weekends (weekend requirement every third weekend; nights: Friday-Saturday; days: Saturday-Sunday); holiday schedule rotates

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality emergency nursing care for patients of all ages with compassion and clinical skill
  • Rapidly assess, triage and prioritize incoming patients in a busy 27-bed ER to ensure timely, lifesaving interventions
  • Collaborate with EMTs, paramedics, aides and other team members to coordinate patient care and streamline throughput
  • Safely administer medications, monitor patient status, and escalate critical changes to the care team
  • Document thoroughly and accurately using EPIC to support continuity of care and regulatory compliance
  • Participate in orientation skills testing and ongoing competency activities to maintain excellence
Education
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
Knowledge & Skills
  • Strong emergency nursing and triage skills across life stages (all-ages patient population)
  • Experience working in trauma/level 2 settings and collaborating with multidisciplinary emergency teams
  • Competence with EPIC electronic health record workflows and documentation
  • Ability to function effectively in high-acuity, fast-paced environments and make rapid clinical decisions
  • Familiarity with working alongside phlebotomy services, EMTs and paramedics to optimize care delivery
