Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Room Float Pool Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour Nights Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: Current nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC Must-Have: - Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience Description: The role is focused on providing high-quality nursing care in various emergency room settings. Traveling nurses are expected to float within designated zones as required. Nurses will manage a diverse patient population and handle a variety of clinical situations. Common patient diagnoses may include abdominal pain, diabetes, NSTEMI, pneumonia, trauma, stroke, and hypertension. Nurse-to-patient ratios will vary based on acuity. The emergency rooms may operate as trauma receiving facilities. The role involves the ability to work with medications in emergency care settings. Point-of-care lab testing will be a part of the responsibilities. There are shifts available throughout the week, including weekends and holidays.
