Travel Nurse RN - Emergency Room (ER) / Trauma - $2,308 per week in Skowhegan, ME

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Nights Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years of ED experience License: Active nursing license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS required; TNCC and ENPC preferred Must-Have: - Minimum 2 years of emergency department experience - Required certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS Description: The position involves working as a staff nurse in the emergency department for all ages. Duties include triage, assessments, wound care, orthopedic treatments, and care of behavioral health patients. You will be responsible for trauma management, response to codes, and critical care situations. The department utilizes T-System electronic record and Med Dispense for charting and medication management. The standard nurse to patient ratio is 3:1 during full staffing, adjusting according to patient acuity. A minimum of three nurses will always be on duty, and there are no on-call requirements. Weekend work is required every other week. Occasionally, staff may float to other units based on the hospital's needs. The emergency department has a 15-bed capacity, including rooms designated as safe rooms for behavioral health patients. A uniform of scrub top and bottom in any style or color is required.
