Job Description

Position Overview

Tribal Health is seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel assignment working straight night shifts in a fast-paced Emergency Department. The ideal candidate will have strong emergency nursing experience, excellent critical thinking skills, and the ability to provide compassionate, high-quality care to patients of all ages.

Assignment Details
  • Target Start Date: Early to Mid-September
  • Assignment Length: 13 Weeks
  • Schedule: 3 x 12-hour shifts (36 hours/week)
  • Shift: Straight Nights
  • Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Responsibilities
  • Assess, prioritize, and provide emergency nursing care to patients presenting with a wide range of illnesses and injuries.
  • Perform rapid patient assessments and initiate appropriate nursing interventions.
  • Administer medications, IV therapy, blood products, and other treatments as ordered.
  • Monitor patient condition and respond quickly to changes in status.
  • Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, EMS, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
  • Accurately document assessments, treatments, and patient outcomes.
  • Provide patient and family education regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions.
  • Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and evidence-based nursing practices.
Requirements
  • Active, unrestricted RN license (any U.S. state or compact license accepted)
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • PALS
  • TNCC
  • Recent Emergency Department nursing experience required
  • Strong assessment, triage, and critical thinking skills
  • Experience with electronic medical records preferred
Preferred Experience
  • Critical Access Hospital experience
  • Rural Emergency Department experience
  • Previous travel nursing experience
