This position involves rotating night and evening shifts, primarily night shifts. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a fast-paced emergency department. The nurse will care for patients across all age ranges, from infants to geriatrics. Patient diagnoses will vary and may include complex and multi-system conditions. Every other weekend is required, along with holiday coverage as scheduled. Floating within the emergency department and sister facilities may be necessary. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical skills and the ability to manage acute situations. Essential skills include management of ventilated patients, drug overdose response, and triage. The nurse must effectively communicate with interdisciplinary teams and provide high-quality patient care. The environment is dynamic, requiring nurses to adapt quickly to changing patient needs.
