The nurse will be responsible for providing direct patient care to a diverse patient population. The patient ratio is typically 1:4, increasing to up to 5 with lower acuity patients. The RN will administer medications and perform emergency procedures as needed. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams is essential for optimal patient outcomes. Floating to other units may be required based on staffing needs. Every other weekend and holiday shifts are mandatory. Candidates should be experienced in handling critical situations and emergencies. Skills in managing acute conditions, performing triage, and interpreting diagnostic tests are essential. A background in handling various emergency medical scenarios will be beneficial.
