Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – Maryland

Start Date: September 14, 2026

Schedule: 12-hour shifts with 4:1 patient ratio; includes weekend coverage (6 weekend shifts per contract period); holidays and weekends required; 20 hours orientation provided

Highlights:

• High-volume, fast-paced Emergency Department averaging 220 patient visits daily
• Level II Trauma Center with 54 bed ED treating high acuity patients across all age groups (neonates through geriatrics)
• EPIC electronic medical records system utilized throughout facility
• One-year travel assignment with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and social services
• STEMI and Stroke Certified Facility managing complex cardiac and neurological emergencies
• Broad case mix including trauma, CVA, ortho trauma, gunshot wounds, and procedural sedation

Requirements:

• Active and unencumbered RN license
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience required
• At least 1 year of travel nursing experience required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIH Stroke Scale (pending certification acceptable)
• Proficiency with EPIC charting system required
• COVID-19 vaccination required (no exemptions)
• Flu vaccination required (no exemptions)
• 2-step PPD required
• Strong skills in critical emergency interventions including IV vasopressors, central line management, continuous IV sedation, blood product administration, ventilated patient care, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and procedural sedation monitoring
