Join a dynamic healthcare team in Glenwood Springs, Colorado, as a Registered Nurse on an Acute Care/Med-Surg/Observation Unit. This role is crucial in providing high-quality, patient-centered care to a diverse adult population.
The unit experiences a growing census, particularly with an increase in orthopedic surgeries, Hybrid Cath Lab procedures, and patients presenting with acute and chronic illnesses. The successful candidate will utilize their specialized knowledge and the nursing process to plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate comprehensive patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care to adult patients on the Acute Care, Med-Surg, and Observation units.
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, develop individualized care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes.
Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely.
Monitor patient conditions, interpret diagnostic data, and promptly report changes to the interdisciplinary team.
Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
Educate patients and their families regarding health conditions, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
Maintain accurate and thorough electronic health records and other required documentation.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of two (2) years of recent, acute care experience as a Registered Nurse in Med-Surg, Telemetry, or Observation units.

Shift Details
Shift Type: Night shift (NOC)
Shift Duration: 12-hour shifts
Days per Week: 3 days per week
Weekend Rotation: Required
Call Requirements: Participation in a call rotation is required, including taking one (1) call shift per two-week period as requested due to staffing needs. This call shift may be in place of guaranteed hours for that week.
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Licensing Requirements
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Colorado.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
