Travel Nurse RN - Emergency Room (ER) / Trauma - $2,344 per week in Presque Isle, ME

Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Department Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7P-7A Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC (preferred), NRP (preferred) Must-Have: EKGs, IV starts, familiarity with TNKase administration, nebulizer treatments, initiating Bipap, suture removal, assisting with casting, vent management Charge experience Description: Urgent start needed. Minimum experience required is 2 years. Will accept first-time travelers. Patient types range from neonates to geriatrics. General ED patients include trauma, stroke, STEMI, and behavioral health cases. Patient ratios are RN 1:4, variable based on patient acuity. Tech staffing is 1:11. Support on the unit includes on-call RT for unstable patients. Mid-level provider hours vary, and hospitalist is available 24/7. House supervisor and receptionist are present 24/7. Critical care transport team assistance is available. Traditional nursing staffing includes various shifts throughout the day. ED tech hours are 6a-4p and 6p-4a. Security is on-site 24/7 but typically does not respond to patient escalations. Staff from all units will respond if needed. Charting system used is FirstNet. No floating is required. Weekend rotation occurs every other week. No call is required, but holiday coverage is needed as scheduled. Approval for time off requires manager's consent. Scrub colors should be professional; hospital scrubs are available but not mandatory. On-site locker and changing room facilities are provided. A gym is available.
