Job Summary
This Registered Nurse position offers an opportunity to provide comprehensive, age-specific direct patient care within an acute care setting in Morristown, Vermont. The role encompasses diverse specialties including Medical-Surgical, Telemetry, Step-Down, Progressive Care (PCU), Observation, and potentially Pediatric Medical-Surgical units, indicative of a Critical Access Hospital environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for applying the full scope of the Nursing Process to deliver high-quality patient care. This includes assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient outcomes, while adhering to established standards of care.
This role also involves leadership responsibilities, including the delegation of tasks to other qualified healthcare team members, ensuring efficient and coordinated patient care delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver age-specific, direct patient care to a diverse patient population.
- Utilize the full scope of the Nursing Process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation) to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Adhere strictly to Department of Nursing Standards of Patient Care and Specialty Specific Standards of Patient Care.
- Assume leadership responsibilities, including effective delegation of tasks to other levels of healthcare employees.
- Ensure continuous compliance with all applicable State and Federal laws, regulations, and policies governing the provision of health care.

If not active, proof of a booked course at the time of Clinical Orientation (beginning of assignment) is mandatory.
