Travel Nurse RN - Emergency Room (ER) / Trauma - $2,372 per week in Santa Monica, CA

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 3 years in Trauma and Adult Emergency Department License: State RN License required Certifications: BSN, ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, CPI Must-Have: - Minimum 3 years of experience in Trauma and Adult Emergency Department - First-time travelers accepted with caution based on prior ER nursing experience Description: The role involves providing nursing care in a high-paced environment. Candidates should be able to manage an average daily census of 140 patients. The nurse will work various days of the week, with some mid/day shifts based on staffing needs. Patient ratios will be maintained at 1:4. The facility utilizes Epic for charting. The role does not require floating to other units. Weekend shifts will be required every other weekend. Skills required include: - Abdominal pain - Acute psychosis - Asthma - Blood product administration - Care of ventilated patients - Central line care and management - Chest tube insertion and management - Continuous IV paralytics management - Drug overdose treatment - Emergency medications administration - Intubation - Management of multisystem organ dysfunction/failure - Procedural sedation administration and monitoring - Triage Interdisciplinary support is available from various services including physical therapy and social services. Candidates must be willing to work with a patient demographic ranging from neonates to geriatrics.
