Registered Nurse - Emergency Department
Job Summary
Join a dynamic Emergency Department team in Buffalo, New York, for a 13-week contract assignment. This role offers the opportunity to provide critical care to a diverse patient population in a fast-paced environment, located at 565 Abbott Rd, Buffalo, New York.
The successful candidate will be instrumental in patient assessment, stabilization, and intervention, working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. This position is ideal for an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse seeking a challenging and rewarding travel assignment, utilizing clinical expertise to manage emergent conditions and ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including triage and rapid evaluation of emergent conditions.
Implement and monitor patient care plans, administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
Operate and monitor medical equipment, interpreting diagnostic test results.
Collaborate effectively with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
Document all patient care activities accurately and thoroughly in the electronic medical record system.
Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions.
Respond to medical emergencies and assist with resuscitation efforts as needed.
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Experience in an Emergency Department setting.
Proficiency with Epic Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.

Proficiency in IV insertion, medication administration, and wound care.

Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork abilities.
Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure in a high-stress environment.
