Registered Nurse - Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for a Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) assignment in Morristown, Vermont. This role involves providing specialized, direct patient care to individuals recovering from anesthesia and surgical procedures.
The PACU RN will utilize the full scope of the Nursing Process to deliver age-specific care, ensuring adherence to established Department of Nursing and Specialty Specific Standards of Patient Care. This position requires a commitment to patient safety, quality outcomes, and compliance with all healthcare regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct, age-specific patient care to individuals in the post-anesthesia recovery phase.
Apply the Nursing Process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation) to manage patient care effectively.
Adhere strictly to Department of Nursing Standards of Patient Care and Specialty Specific Standards.
Assume leadership responsibilities, including appropriate delegation of tasks to other healthcare team members.
Ensure full compliance with all applicable State and Federal laws, regulations, and policies governing healthcare provision.
Required Qualifications
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Active Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Active Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification.
