  • Position: Registered Nurse - Emergency Room (ER)
  • Location: Carmichael
  • Contract Length: 13 Weeks
  • Shift: Night Shift
  • Schedule: 3x12
  • Experience Required: 2 Years
  • Weekly Pay: $2400 to $2600
Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with acute illnesses, injuries, and medical emergencies
  • Perform rapid patient assessments, triage, and prioritize care based on patient acuity
  • Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and emergency treatments as prescribed
  • Monitor patient conditions and respond promptly to changes in clinical status
  • Assist physicians during trauma cases, emergency procedures, and resuscitations
  • Operate and monitor emergency medical equipment, including cardiac monitors and defibrillators
  • Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
  • Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, laboratory staff, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
  • Ensure compliance with infection prevention, patient safety, and quality care standards
  • Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in a fast-paced emergency setting
Requirements
  • Active California RN License
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience
  • Current BLS Certification required
  • ACLS Certification required
  • PALS Certification preferred
  • TNCC Certification preferred
  • Strong assessment, critical thinking, and emergency response skills
  • Experience caring for trauma, cardiac, stroke, pediatric, and critically ill patients
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Ability to remain calm and make sound clinical decisions in high-pressure situations
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional, patient-centered care
