Job Title: RN - Emergency Room

Description:
Assess patients' clinical conditions, recognizing, identifying, and interpreting serious situations.
Prioritize and immediately decide upon and take proper action in emergencies.
Initiate appropriate measures in emergency situations when a physician is not immediately available.
Operate and monitor general and specialized emergency care equipment such as infusion pumps, pulse oximeters, ventilators, and cardiac monitors.
Administer therapeutic measures as prescribed by the physician, including medications and IV therapy.
Record observations, nursing interventions, therapeutic measures administered, and the status of coordinated activities between nursing and other professional disciplines.
Document specific health care requirements for patients and prepare written assignments for individual team members.
Plan and develop care delivery, implement the plan, and coordinate the documentation of care.
Share responsibilities for sustaining adequate supplies and equipment and general upkeep of the unit.
Ensure preservation of a safe environment.
May float to other units as needed.
Must work every other weekend and holidays.
