The Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department is responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced acute care environment. This role requires strong clinical judgment, the ability to manage complex and emergent situations, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Key ResponsibilitiesEmergency Care Delivery- Perform rapid patient assessments and prioritize care based on acuity
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with providers
- Deliver emergency nursing interventions and continuously reassess patient conditions
- Respond effectively to critical and life-threatening situations
Clinical Duties- Administer medications and treatments per established protocols
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EPIC EMR
- Modify care plans based on ongoing patient evaluation
- Ensure compliance with ED-specific procedures and standards
Patient Safety & Support- Promote patient and staff safety by identifying and addressing hazards
- Provide education to patients and families regarding treatment and care plans
- Address psychological, emotional, and social needs in high-stress situations
Collaboration & Communication- Work closely with physicians, specialists, and care teams
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff
- Support a positive and collaborative work environment
- Provide feedback and assist in peer development
Additional Details- Shift: Mid shift (1:00 PM – 1:00 AM)
- Call Requirement: 2 call shifts per 6-week period (13-hour shifts; must report within 1 hour if called)
- Rotation: 2-week night shift rotation required
- Hours: 36 hours/week
- Language: English (Read, Write, Speak)
