Candidates with strong skills in phlebotomy and IV placement are preferred, reflecting the high standards of care at this facility.

Key Responsibilities of the ER RN

Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
Care for patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
Blood product administration and central line care/management
Phlebotomy and starting IVs
Administering continuous IV paralytics, sedation, and emergency medications
Procedural sedation administration and monitoring
Management of emergency department patients, including combined adult/pediatric care

Requirements of the ER RN

Active NY license
BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS certifications
Minimum 1 year of ER experience
Mandatory competency with phlebotomy and IV placement
Epic charting experience preferred
