Must-Have: Ventilator experience, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, good written and verbal communication skills, ability to multi-task.
Description:
Assess patients' clinical conditions, recognizing, identifying, and interpreting serious situations.
Prioritize and immediately decide upon and take proper action in emergency situations when a physician is not immediately available.
Operate and monitor general and specialized emergency care equipment such as infusion pumps, pulse oximeters, ventilators, cardiac monitors, and other specialized equipment.
Administer therapeutic measures as prescribed by the physician such as medications and IV therapy that alter hemodynamic status, respiratory therapy, and mechanical ventilation.
Record observations, nursing interventions, therapeutic measures administered, and status of coordinated activities between nursing and other professional disciplines.
Document specific health care requirements for patients and prepare written assignments to individual team members, matching the skills and abilities of staff to the care requirements of patients.
Plan and develop care delivery, implementation of the plan, and coordinate the documentation of care.
Share responsibilities for sustaining adequate supplies and equipment.
Contribute to general upkeep of the unit and preserve a safe environment.
Must work every other weekend and one major holiday.
May float to ICU and MS units.
