Job Title: Emergency Room Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12 hours Day Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 3 years in Emergency Room License: Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse Certifications: NIHSS, TNCC, BLS, PALS, ACLS required Must-Have: Must live 50 miles away. Willing and able to work in the trauma room as the bedside trauma RN. Able to manage a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5. Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program. BSN is highly desired. Cerner experience required. Description: The Emergency Department is a fast-paced environment that treats every type of patient. Emergency Department nurses manage critical care skills such as medication titrations, arterial lines, mass transfusion of blood, and chest tubes. Patients range from urgent care cases to complex psychiatric, pediatric, and critical care/trauma patients. Nurses coordinate and deliver care to patients with complex nursing care needs. The focus is to ensure the highest level of safety and quality while promoting a positive patient experience.
