We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week contract assignment in Aberdeen, Washington. This role is situated in a dynamic emergency department, providing critical care to a diverse patient population experiencing acute illnesses and injuries.
The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, delivering comprehensive nursing care, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team, and ensuring optimal patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients presenting with a wide range of emergent conditions.
Conduct rapid and thorough patient assessments, prioritize care, and implement appropriate interventions.
Administer medications, perform treatments, and operate medical equipment according to established protocols.
Monitor, interpret, and document patient responses to interventions and treatments.
Collaborate effectively with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and execute patient care plans.
Educate patients and their families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.
Required Qualifications
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Minimum of 1 year of recent experience as an Emergency Department RN.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
Current Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification.
Current National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Meditech Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
Skills & Competencies
Exceptional critical thinking and rapid assessment skills in emergent situations.
Proficiency in emergency care procedures and interventions.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-stress environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, fostering a collaborative team environment.
Competence in operating standard emergency department equipment (e.g., cardiac monitors, ventilators, IV pumps).
Demonstrated ability to be a proactive and supportive team player.

Shift Type: Night Shift (NOC)
Hours: 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM
Shift Duration: 12 hours
Days per Week: 3 days (36 hours per week)

Time Off (RTO) Policy: All requested time off must be pre-approved and will be added to the end of the contract. Full availability for scheduling is required.

Licensing Requirements
Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Washington OR a valid multi-state compact RN license.
Completion of an approved 6-hour suicide training course (as required by Washington State for RN practice).
Verification of demographics from Nursys (if holding a multi-state compact license for practice in WA).
