Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to join a dynamic surgical services team in Woodsville, New Hampshire. This role primarily focuses on providing expert circulating care during a diverse range of surgical procedures.

The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced perioperative environment, caring for a broad patient population ranging from pediatric (age 7 and older) to geriatric (up to 100 years old). While the primary focus is intraoperative circulating, there may be opportunities to support post-operative care in the PACU, with training provided if needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive circulating nursing care for patients undergoing various surgical procedures.
• Ensure a sterile environment and adherence to all safety protocols throughout the surgical process.
• Collaborate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical technologists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Monitor patient physiological status, vital signs, and respond to changes during surgery.
• Assist with patient positioning, skin preparation, and surgical counts.
• Accurately document all aspects of patient care, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record.
• Potentially provide post-anesthesia care in the PACU, with opportunities for training.

Required Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience as an Operating Room (OR) Circulator.
• Experience caring for a diverse patient population, including pediatric (ages 7+) through geriatric.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of travel nursing experience.
• Experience across multiple surgical specialties, including endoscopies, general surgery, orthopedics, urology, and podiatry.
• Prior experience with Oracle/Cerner Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
• Previous Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) experience.

Shift Details

• Shift Type: Day Shift (AM)
• Hours: 07:00 AM - 04:30 PM (0700-1630)
• Shift Duration: Approximately 9.5 hours per primary shift.
• Days per Week: Primary shifts are Monday - Thursday. The assignment is structured for 5 days per week, which may include on-call responsibilities or additional shifts.
• Call Requirements: On-call duties required.
• Weekend Rotations: Not specified.
• Contract Length: 13 weeks.
• Assignment Dates: October 5, 2026 - January 4, 2027.
