Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years preferred License: Current RN license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS Must-Have: Previous Charge Experience Description: The Registered Nurse will work in the Emergency Room. The candidate should have a minimum of 2 years of experience. Experience in a community hospital is required. The unit accepts first-time travelers. Certifications required include ACLS, BLS, and PALS. The position involves managing arterial lines and BiPAP/CPAP. The nurse will be responsible for blood product administration and the care of ventilated patients. Central line care and management is also a key responsibility. Candidates should have skills in continuous IV sedation and management of dysrhythmias. Experience with a Level II Trauma Center is preferred. Floating to similar units may be required based on facility needs. The nurse will provide care for patients across all age groups. The unit handles various types of medical and surgical diagnoses. Special procedures include chest tubes, thoracentesis, and procedural sedation. The candidate should be prepared for a fast-paced environment with a patient ratio of 4-5. Compliance with organizational policies and procedures is essential.
