The unit supports a 4:1 patient ratio, with three rooms and one hall bed during high volume periods. Equipment includes cardiac monitors, EKGs, ultrasound machines, rapid infusers, IO drills, and Lifepak devices. The electronic medical record system used is Meditech. Candidates should possess high-pressure experience from previous roles. Previous medical experience such as RN, medic, or technician is preferred. Typical procedures include IV starts, phlebotomy, and cardiac monitoring/interpretation. The ideal candidate will have an outgoing and positive demeanor under pressure. Scrubs for RN staff consist of gray tops and black or gray bottoms. Appropriate colored t-shirts are allowed under a nursing scrub jacket or hospital-approved jacket.
