Key Responsibilities of the Travel Nurse
- Provide urgent, high-quality patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Department setting.
- Rapidly assess, triage, and stabilize patients presenting with acute medical conditions.
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and respond effectively to critical changes.
- Collaborate closely with physicians and the wider ED team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and families about treatment plans, procedures, and aftercare.
- Accurately document patient assessments and care, maintaining compliance with hospital standards.
- Act quickly and competently in life-saving interventions and trauma care situations.
Requirements of the Travel Nurse
- Valid New York Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in an Emergency Department setting.
