Job Title: Emergency Department Registered Nurse

Seven Healthcare are seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse for a travel assignment in Ohio. This role requires the delivery of high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency department environment, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal outcomes.

Key Responsibilities of the Emergency Department Registered Nurse
  • Perform initial and ongoing assessments of patients' physical and emotional health
  • Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed
  • Monitor and document patient responses to care and adjust plans as necessary
  • Provide education to patients and families about conditions, treatments, and follow-up care
  • Triage patients effectively to prioritize care based on the severity of illness or injury
  • Assist in resuscitation, stabilization, and advanced life support procedures during emergencies
  • Operate and maintain emergency equipment, including defibrillators, monitors, and ventilators
  • Work closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, and other healthcare team members to coordinate care
  • Communicate patient status, changes, and care plans clearly to team members and families
  • Adhere to established protocols, policies, and regulatory requirements
  • Promote and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff by following infection control and safety protocols

Requirements of the Emergency Department Registered Nurse
  • Current license by the Ohio State Board of Nursing
  • Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in ED
  • Must have 1 year of previous travel experience
