Key Responsibilities of the ED Registered Nurse
  • Provide high-quality care to patients in the emergency department
  • Administer and monitor required drips and medications including pressors, vasodilators, anti-arrhythmics, and sedation medications
  • Utilize specialty equipment such as Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun for patient management
  • Coordinate patient care with a multi-disciplinary team, including floating between various unit beds
  • Operate within a highly dynamic environment catering to diverse age groups from newborns to geriatrics

Requirements of the ED Registered Nurse
  • Valid and active NY Registered Nurse license
  • Current AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of ED experience with pediatric exposure
  • Documented travel nurse experience
  • Familiarity with EPIC EMR systems
