Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Emergency Room Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract assignment in Arcata, California. This role offers an opportunity to provide critical care in a dynamic ER setting, serving a diverse patient population.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in collaboration with the healthcare team. This position requires a commitment to patient safety, rapid assessment, and effective intervention in high-acuity situations.
You will work day shifts, contributing to a collaborative environment focused on delivering high-quality emergency services to the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for emergency patients.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor and interpret patient vital signs, EKG, and other diagnostic data.
- Initiate and manage emergency interventions for critically ill or injured patients.
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions.
- Maintain accurate and thorough patient records.
- Ensure compliance with all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
Required Qualifications
- Proof of negative TB screen within 12 months of contract starting date.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of recent experience as an Emergency Room Registered Nurse.
