The role requires professionals experienced in MEDITECH with prior travel experience.

Key Responsibilities of the ED RN

Identify and intervene in life-threatening situations
Provide quality patient care and assess patient's clinical, teaching, mental, and spiritual needs
Recognize safety issues and implement safe patient movement protocols
Function well in stressful situations with creative problem-solving skills
Exhibit strong leadership and the ability to prioritize and delegate tasks
Assume duties as a charge nurse if required
Maintain excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills

Requirements of the ED RN

Current NYS RN license
BLS and ACLS certifications
PALS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire
Experience with MEDITECH
Previous travel experience
Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
Critical Care and charge experience preferred
Completion of lethal dysrhythmia exam during probation
Defibrillation certification within 6 months of employment
IV, medication, and phlebotomy certification during orientation
