Shifts: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each; Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities of the ER Registered Nurse (RN)- Interpret and manage heart rhythm changes (dysrhythmias)
- Care for critically ill patients with multi-organ issues
- Administer blood products
- Manage central lines
- Start and maintain IVs
- Administer IV sedation and vasopressors
- Care for stroke (CVA) patients
- Care for ventilated patients
- Manage BiPAP/CPAP
- Interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs)
- Follow isolation precautions
- Perform triage
Requirements of the ER Registered Nurse (RN)- Active state nursing license required (NY or compact)
- If no NY license, must have already applied and provide application date
- ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS certifications required
- Minimum 1.5 years of experience
- 2 years of recent ER experience required
- No disciplinary issues on nursing license
