Key Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department- Assess, plan, delegate, coordinate, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients
- Educate patients and families in health promotion and disease management
- Administer medications safely and in accordance with policy
- Participate in nursing shared governance and improvement initiatives
- Engage in professional development and continuing education
- Provide a supportive environment for new employees and students
- Perform duties of Charge Nurse or Shift Coordinator as needed
Requirements of the Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department- Current New York State Registered Nurse License
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC certifications
- 2+ years of Emergency Department experience
- Experience with EPIC system
- Associate's degree from an accredited school of Nursing; BSN preferred
