Key Responsibilities of the ED Registered Nurse- Deliver critical care to patients in the emergency department
- Manage a wide range of emergency cases including stroke, sepsis, trauma, and cardiac arrest
- Administer specialty medications and operate equipment such as rapid infusors and Arctic Sun
- Provide care across different patient age groups: newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatric
- Collaborate with the ED team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes
- Ensure proper documentation and communication during patient handoffs and transitions
Requirements of the ED Registered Nurse- 2+ years of ED experience including pediatric and travel experience
- Active NY RN license verified through NURSYS
- Current AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications
- Experience with EMR systems, specifically EPIC
- Drivers license with matching demographic address
- Skills checklist matching specialty
