Key Responsibilities of the RN - ER/ED - Emergency Room/Emergency Department- Deliver patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Administer and monitor patient responses to medications
- Direct and guide patient care and teaching of ancillary staff
- Utilize nursing process for maintaining accurate patient records
- Provide comprehensive documentation and summary of assessment data
- Assume the role of charge nurse and demonstrate proficiency in nursing informatics
- Act as a resource person for patient care and staff orientation
- Participate in staff meetings and mandatory programs
- Adhere to safety and infection control policies
- Maintain confidentiality and service excellence
Requirements of the RN - ER/ED - Emergency Room/Emergency Department- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- 2 years of recent ER RN experience
- At least 1 year of ER travel experience
- Current Registered Nurse license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required
- ACLS Certification required
- Proficiency in I.V. administration, IV starts, ventilator care, and telemetry monitoring
- Completion of an approved de-escalation Certification Course preferred
- TNCC, ENPC, and PALS certifications preferred
