Travel Nurse RN - Emergency Room (ER) / Trauma - $2,736 per week in Washington, DC

Job Title: ER Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Services Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x12-Hour or Night 4x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years required; previous travel assignment required License: Must possess valid RN licensure Certifications: ACLS, BLS required Must-Have: Must provide proof of pending licensure status at the time of submission. Must have RN license in hand prior to start date. Description: The position requires an experienced ER RN for rotating shifts. Shifts include a combination of day and night hours. Weekend coverage is required every other week and holidays as needed. Traveler must have at least 2 years of experience in the emergency department. Previous travel experience is mandatory. The candidate should be skilled in various emergency procedures and patient care techniques. Responsibilities include managing critically ill patients and performing necessary interventions. Experience in handling emergencies such as trauma, cardiac events, and acute psychosis is essential. The candidate must be adept at interpreting EKGs and conducting thorough assessments. The role also involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care. Additional competencies include proficiency in IV management, intubation, and central line care. This position involves managing a diverse patient demographic, including adults and geriatrics. The ER RN will work in a fast-paced environment with a daily census of approximately 240 patients. Candidates must be prepared for a variety of patient diagnoses and emergencies. Failure to comply with time-sensitive requirements may result in cancellation of the position. Travelers must be comfortable proceeding without an interview and be prepared for rapid onboarding procedures.
