Travel Nurse RN - Emergency Room (ER) / Trauma - $2,765 per week in Walnut Creek, CA

Minimum of 2 years of experience in Emergency Room specialty required. License: Valid nursing license is mandatory. Certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS, NIHSS are required. TNCC is preferred. Must-Have: Strong Emergency Room experience is required. Travel experience is required. Epic experience is required. Description: The Emergency Room provides care for a diverse patient population with various conditions. Common patient diagnoses include STEMI, stroke, syncope, weakness, trauma, and falls, with a high elderly population. The unit has a total of 44 beds. Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4. The unit has a fast-paced environment with a daily census of 190-200 patients. Traveling nurses may be required to triage ambulance patients at the bedside. Teamwork and a positive attitude are essential. Advanced support services such as respiratory and anesthesia are available 24/7. Nurses are expected to perform advanced procedures including starting IVs and completing EKGs. A professional appearance is required; scrubs of any color may be worn with specific guidelines for shoes and jewelry. Nail polish must be in good condition without chips or cracks; gel or acrylic enhancements are not permitted. Good critical thinking skills and the ability to manage a fast-paced environment are crucial for success in this role. Nursing excellence and patient experience are major focuses of this unit.
