Position: Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (ER)
Location: Mammoth Lakes
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: Night Shift
Schedule: 3×12
Experience Required: 2 Years
Weekly Pay:$2900 to $3100
Responsibilities
Provide rapid assessment, triage, and emergency nursing care for patients with a wide range of illnesses and injuries
Perform comprehensive patient assessments and continuously monitor vital signs and clinical status
Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and emergency treatments as prescribed
Recognize and respond quickly to life-threatening emergencies, trauma cases, cardiac events, strokes, and other critical conditions
Assist physicians during emergency procedures, trauma resuscitations, wound care, and bedside interventions
Operate and monitor emergency medical equipment, including cardiac monitors, defibrillators, infusion pumps, and ventilators
Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, radiology staff, laboratory personnel, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, follow-up care, and discharge instructions
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
Follow infection prevention protocols, patient safety standards, and emergency department best practices
Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while maintaining efficiency in a high-volume emergency setting
Requirements
Active California Registered Nurse (RN) License
Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience
Current BLS Certification required
Current ACLS Certification required
Current PALS Certification preferred
TNCC Certification preferred
NIH Stroke Scale Certification preferred
Experience caring for trauma, medical, surgical, pediatric, and critical care emergency patients
Strong assessment, critical thinking, communication, and emergency response skills
Experience using electronic medical record (EMR) systems preferred
Ability to prioritize multiple patients in a fast-paced emergency department
Commitment to delivering safe, compassionate, and high-quality emergency care
