Travel Nurse RN - Emergency Room (ER) / Trauma - $2,904 per week in Breckenridge, MN

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room / Medsurg Swing Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day/Night Rotate Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS ACLS NIHSS TNCC PALS (preferred) Must-Have: 2 years of emergency room experience Previous Medsurg experience Description: The department operates at a trauma level IV. It is a STEMI receiving and Stroke designated facility. There are 4 beds and 2 trauma bays. Patients are treated in the emergency room with an average of 10 patients per day. The emergency room does not have a Fast Track or a separate Triage area. ER holds are intermixed within the ER. There are separate Psych/seclusion rooms available. Security is not housed in the ER but is available 24/7. An ED physician is staffed during shifts. Each shift has a charge nurse who takes on patient assignments. On-call nurse aides, EMTs, paramedics, and patient sitters assist during shifts. Respiratory Therapy is not available 24/7 in the ER. Registered Nurses are required to read their own telemetry strips. Lab staff is responsible for drawing labs. Shifts rotate between day and night. Mandatory holiday work is required if it falls within the assigned schedule. Floating to Medsurg and Swing bed is required as needed. The dress code consists of navy blue scrubs. There is a radius rule of 50 miles for candidates. Requests for time off need to be provided upfront, and additional requests will not be approved. The hospital reserves the right to cancel shifts per assignment duration. The charting system used is Point Click Care (PCC). A BSN degree is not required for this position.
