Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years minimum required License: State nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC required Must-Have: - Epic experience required - Previous charge experience preferred - Patient ratio experience 4:1 Description: Position is for an Emergency Room Registered Nurse. Shift is 4x12 days from 07:00 to 19:30. Candidate will work every other weekend. Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department is required. Certifications in ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC are mandatory. Experience with the Epic charting system is essential. Facility is a short-term acute care hospital. It has a total of 426 staffed beds and is a Level II Trauma Center. Daily duties will include patient care for adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. The patient diagnoses will vary across age groups. The unit supports an interdisciplinary approach to care. Skills required include arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, and care of ventilated patients. Candidates should be adept at interpreting dysrhythmias and managing IV vasopressors. This position requires travel experience. Return staff policy will apply, where a 2-year absence is required before returning as a traveler. A reference is required for submission. Modules must be completed pre-start and annually, varying by specialty.
