Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – North Carolina

Start Date: October 12, 2026

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour night shifts (18:45 - 07:15); 48-hour contracts preferred; every other weekend required; no call; no float

Highlights:

• High-volume emergency department serving approximately 170 patient visits per day across 53 beds
• Level 2 trauma center treating adult patients including STEMI, stroke, and trauma cases
• Competitive patient ratios: 3:1 non-critical, 2:1 critical patients, 5:1 medical boarders
• Contract length up to 20+ weeks through February 27, 2027 to support the unit through the holiday season
• Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, rapid response, and respiratory services

Requirements:

• Active RN license (North Carolina or Compact state)
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• Required certifications: TNCC, ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale, and MOAB
• Required skills: IV start, triage, telemetry, and conscious sedation
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Trauma experience preferred; ENPC certification preferred
