To qualify, you need a current North Carolina RN license or compact state license, graduation from an accredited nursing program, and at least two years of nursing experience, with one year in the highest level applied. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certifications may be required within 12 weeks of hire. Recommended skills include adaptability, strong communication, critical thinking, and proficiency with EMR systems.
