Description:
This position is for a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department.
The facility is a 198-bed level III trauma center.
It provides healthcare services to a diverse region.
The hospital features state-of-the-art operating suites.
Various trauma cases are managed at this facility.
Services include medical, surgical, and rehabilitation care.
The hospital also boasts a childbirth center, cancer center, nephrology unit, pediatric unit, and behavioral health unit.
Additional services include a day surgery center and advanced imaging and lab testing.
The facility has been recognized for its beautiful architecture and healthcare services.
The surrounding area offers a variety of recreational activities, including hiking, kayaking, and historical sightseeing.
The patient population includes those with ESRD, cirrhosis, COPD, and other conditions.
Nurses will work in a team nursing environment with a pod system in place.
A social worker is assigned to the department, alongside a unit educator.
The emergency department has a patient ratio of 4:1 in the main area and 6:1 in fast track.
Equipment used includes a Zoll Defibrillator, blood transfuser, blood warmer, and ultrasound guided IV systems.
The electronic health record system in use is Cerner.
Common diagnoses treated include ESRD, substance abuse disorders, psychological disorders, COPD, CHF, abdominal pain, and chest pain.
This position does not require floating to other units.
