Job Title: ER RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: Active RN license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC Must-Have: - Experience with management of dysrhythmias required - Required IV therapy and phlebotomy skills, including central line care and management - Experience with starting and maintaining IVs - Experience with IV vasopressors - Experience managing CPAP/BiPAP and care of ventilated patients - Knowledge of isolation precautions and triage Description: Position available for an ER RN. The RN will be required to work three 12-hour night shifts. The RN will float to different areas if needed. The RN will work every other weekend. The RN will care for patients of combined adult and pediatric populations in a general emergency department. Dysrhythmia management skills are essential. The RN will need to demonstrate proficiency in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and medication administration, specifically in IV vasopressors. Experience in isolation precautions and triage is also required. This role supports a Level II Trauma center within a short-term acute care hospital setting. A referenced back policy is in place for return staff, requiring a two-year absence to qualify as a traveler again. One reference is required for submission. Modules must be completed pre-start and annually, varying by specialty.
