Job Summary
Join a dedicated healthcare team in Hilo, Hawaii, for a 13-week travel assignment within a Long Term Care (LTC) facility co-located with a hospital. This role involves providing comprehensive nursing care to residents, focusing on assessments, treatments, medication administration, and collaborative communication with the interdisciplinary team. The ideal candidate is a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a long-term setting.
You will be responsible for managing a diverse patient population, ensuring their daily needs are met while maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the well-being of residents requiring extended care, utilizing a broad range of clinical skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and according to physician orders.
- Provide specialized care including Gastrostomy Tube care, Urinary Catheter care, Nebulized Treatments, Wound Vac care, CPAP care, and Tracheostomy Care.
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
- Facilitate admissions and discharges, ensuring seamless transitions of care.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals regarding patient status and changes.
- Document all patient care, observations, and interventions accurately and in a timely manner.
- Adhere to all facility policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
Required Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
- Demonstrated experience as a Registered Nurse in a Long Term Care (LTC) setting.
- Proficiency in performing all listed clinical duties.

Licensing Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Hawaii is required by the start of the assignment.
