Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – Maryland

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Hagerstown, Maryland

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour shifts with 4:1 patient ratio; up to six weekend shifts per 6-week scheduling period; 20-hour orientation provided

Highlights:

• High-acuity Level II Trauma Center with 54-bed Emergency Department averaging 220 patient visits daily
• Comprehensive case mix including trauma, stroke, STEMI, CVA, gunshot wounds, and all age groups (neonates through geriatrics)
• Epic EMR system utilized facility-wide
• 13-month assignment with interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and radiology
• Fast-paced, dynamic environment ideal for experienced travel nurses seeking professional growth
• Weekend rotation capped at no more than six weekend shifts per 6-week period

Requirements:

• Current Maryland RN license or compact state license
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department nursing experience required
• At least 1 year of travel nursing experience required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS (pending certifications acceptable at submission)
• Epic EMR experience required
• COVID-19 vaccination required (no exemptions)
• Influenza vaccination required (no exemptions)
• 2-step PPD required
• Proficiency in IV vasopressors, blood product administration, central line management, procedural sedation, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and ventilated patient care
