Position: Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (ER)
Location: Fall River Mills
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift
Schedule: 3×12
Experience Required: 2 Years
Weekly Pay:$3300 to $3500
Responsibilities
Assess, triage, and provide emergency nursing care for patients with a wide range of medical, surgical, cardiac, neurological, pediatric, and trauma-related conditions
Perform rapid patient assessments and continuously monitor changes in patient condition
Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and emergency treatments as prescribed
Assist physicians during trauma resuscitations, emergency procedures, and life-saving interventions
Operate and monitor cardiac monitors, ventilators, infusion pumps, and other emergency department equipment
Recognize and respond promptly to medical emergencies, code situations, and changes in patient status
Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, laboratory staff, radiology personnel, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care
Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up care
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
Ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols, patient safety standards, and emergency department quality measures
Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while supporting patients and families during stressful situations
Requirements
Active California Registered Nurse (RN) License
Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience
Current BLS Certification required
Current ACLS Certification required
Current PALS Certification preferred
TNCC Certification preferred
NIH Stroke Scale Certification preferred
Experience caring for trauma, cardiac, stroke, pediatric, and medical emergency patients
Strong assessment, critical thinking, multitasking, and emergency response skills
Experience using electronic medical record (EMR) systems preferred
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
