Schedule: Evening Shift, 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Hours: 40 hours/week | 8 hours/day | 5 days/week

Local Pay Rate: $112.50/hr on W2 (Without Benefits)

We are seeking an experienced Nurse Manager – Emergecy Room/Dept to lead nursing operations and ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality, patient-centered care in an Emergency Department setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead nursing practice using relationship-centered care and modified primary nursing principles.

• Ensure effective implementation of Purposeful Hourly Rounding (PHR).

• Conduct daily patient and staff rounding and monitor patient experience.

• Lead staff huddles and identify high-risk patients requiring additional attention.

• Address patient and family concerns and initiate service recovery when needed.

• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to resolve clinical and operational concerns.

• Monitor patient experience scores, quality metrics, and staff engagement.

• Promote evidence-based nursing practices and a safe, therapeutic patient-care environment.

• Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement corrective action plans.

• Lead quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with safety standards.

• Monitor nursing documentation and identify gaps in clinical information systems.

• Ensure staff competencies, quality requirements, and regulatory standards are maintained.

• Provide leadership, coaching, feedback, and support to nursing staff.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required

• Current New York State RN license required

• 3–5 years of clinical nursing experience

• Charge Nurse or supervisory experience preferred

• Emergency Department (ED) experience required

• Strong organizational and administrative skills

• Excellent communication and leadership abilities

• Ability to work effectively with interdisciplinary teams

• Strong knowledge of patient safety and quality improvement practices

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing or a related healthcare field

• Previous Nurse Manager or leadership experience

• Experience with quality improvement, patient experience, and safety initiatives
