Triage patients quickly to determine acuity using established emergency assessment protocols.
Perform rapid, focused assessments and respond urgently to changes in patient condition.
Administer medications, IV fluids, blood products, and emergency interventions per physician orders.
Stabilize trauma, cardiac, stroke, respiratory, and critically ill patients upon arrival.
Assist with and perform emergency procedures, including wound care, EKGs, IV access, splinting, and airway support.
Operate emergency equipment (defibrillators, cardiac monitors, oxygen devices, ventilators).
Respond to Code Blue, Rapid Response, and trauma alerts as part of the emergency response team.
Communicate clearly with physicians, paramedics, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate urgent care.
Document assessments, treatments, patient responses, and clinical updates accurately in EMR.
Educate and support patients and families, especially in high-stress situations.
Ensure infection control and patient safety according to hospital and regulatory standards.
Prepare patients for admission, transfer, or discharge with clear communication of care plans.
